Yes, our plug-and-play solar kit with battery is 100% autonomous. Solar panels capture energy, lithium batteries store it, and the system powers lighting and charging outlets. The only prerequisites: the kit must be grounded (customer responsibility), and panels must face south with no shading.
It depends on sizing. A standard kit supports simultaneous charging of 2 to 4 e-bikes, with 3–4 days of autonomy without sunlight. Use our simulator to calculate your exact requirements.
Yes, the solar kit is compatible with all ByCommute bike shelters (open and enclosed). It can also be installed on existing non-ByCommute shelters, subject to a technical feasibility review. Contact us to verify compatibility.
Our lithium batteries are designed for 10 to 15 years of normal operation. The Victron charge controller optimizes charge/discharge cycles to maximize service life. A maintenance contract can be offered for critical installations.
